  1. To begin, open the trunk.

  3. Then disconnect the negative battery cable.

  5. With the trunk open, use a push pin tool to dislodge the (2) rearward push pins that are located near the trunk striker.

  7. Dislodge the other (2) push pins on the front side of the rear trim piece.

  9. Rotate the (2) upper retainers counterclockwise to remove them from the studs.

  11. Lift up on the rear trim piece, and remove it from the car.

  13. Disconnect the tail light electrical connection.

  15. Loosen and remove the (3) 11mm tail light retaining nuts (1 of the nuts are easy to get to while the other 2 are hidden behind the trunk carpeting so gently roll forward to gain access).

  17. With all of the nuts removed, carefully bring the tail light towards you and dislodge the grommet so that you can remove the tail light from the car.

  19. Use this time to remove any dirt or debris from the area.

  21. Repeat the steps for the other tail light and when installing simply reverse the removal steps and you're all done!
