  1. Bleed off fuel pressure and open the trunk and locate the fuel pump driver module underneath the trunk carpet inside the spare tire well.

  2. Disconnect the harness.

  3. Start the car and allow it to run until it stops.

  4. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable.

  5. Pull up on the engine cover to free the ball-studs and set it aside.

  6. Using compressed air, thoroughly blow all dirt and debris away from the intake ports of the cylinder heads and surrounding area.

  7. If the sound tube is still in place, depress the clamp to remove it from the inlet tube.

  8. Depress gray tab on the PCV connection and remove it from the inlet tube.

  9. Loosen hose clamp in the inlet tube to the throttle body with an 8mm nut driver.

  10. Do the same for the inlet tube connection to the air box.

  11. Remove inlet tube and set aside.

  12. Remove passenger side PCV connection from the intake manifold followed by the connection on the valve cover.

  13. Position the sound tube out of the way.

  14. Rotate the Driver Side PCV hose and remove it from the valve cover.

  15. Cover any sensitive areas from foreign material with a towel.

  16. Cut electrical tape from the Throttle Body electrical connection.

  17. Slide red locking tab towards the driver side and remove the connection.

  18. Disconnect the EVAP electrical connection.

  19. Dislodge clip on the valve cover for easier access to the EVAP hard line.

  20. Slightly rotate the hard line and depress the quick connect from the EVAP solenoid.

  21. Remove brake booster fitting from the brake booster.

  22. Remove booster line from the intake manifold.

  23. Disengage the clamp on the de-gas hose and remove from the water neck.

  24. Loosen and remove the four 10mm nuts securing the plastic heater hose supports.

  25. On the passenger side, position the heater hose out of the way.

  26. Remove the support followed by the foam fuel rail cover.

  27. Repeat for the driver side as well and remove the booster hose assembly.

  28. Place towels under the fuel line connection on the driver side fuel rail.

  29. Dislodge the blue clip and slowly remove the fuel supply line and allow the fuel to drain out of the line and the rail.

  30. Cap the fuel rail and wrap the supply line with towels.

  31. Loosen and remove the four 10mm fuel rail retaining bolts.

  32. Loosen and remove the three 8mm intake manifold to cylinder head retaining bolts on the driver side.

  33. Loosen and remove the three 8mm bolts on the passenger side.

  34. Disconnect all 8 of the fuel injector electrical connections.

  35. Pick up on the manifold and bring it forward and much as possible.

  36. Dislodge the 4 push pins securing the injector harness to the back of the manifold

  38. Thoroughly vacuum up all loose dirt and debris and clean up and fluid that may have ran out.

  39. Wipe area around the intake ports with brake clean and a towel.
