If you are looking to upgrade the rear of your 2013-2014 Mustang, a GT500/Boss 302 Rear Diffuser is one of the most popular mods. In today's install, we will be installing a Boss 302 Rear Diffuser on a 2013 V6 Mustang, but the same steps apply to all 2013-2014 Mustangs installing a Boss 302 Valance or GT500 Quad Tip Valance.

- Air Powered Body Saw
- Phillips Head
- 11mm Socket
- Flat Head Screw Driver
Installation Instructions
1. Open the trunk, and remove the 2 plastic nuts, and the 2 push-pin type retainers
2. Release the trunk trim panel, disconnect the trunk light electrical connector, and then remove the trunk trim panel
3. Disconnect the right, and left-hand tail lamp electrical connectors
4.. Remove the 3 retaining nuts per tail light, push the harness grommets through the body, and remove both the left hand, and right-hand tail lamps
5. Raise, and support the rear end of the Mustang with jack stands
6. Remove the 3 screws on each side in the wheel well opening at the front of the rear bumper
7. Release the center clips on both the left and right hand splash shield
8. From under the car, remove the 2 retaining clips
9. Remove the 4 pin-type retainers, two per side
10. Remove the pin-type retainers from each retaining arm
11. Pull outward on the left-hand, and the right-hand side of the bumper to release it from the body, and then fully remove the rear bumper cover
12. Lay the bumper cover face down on some shop towels to prevent scratching the paint surface, and remove the two reflectors, and the center trim piece by depressing the retaining tabs
13. The inside of the bumper cover has a very fine line embossed all along the lower portion of the bumper cover where you need to trim
14. Note: It's always recommended to cut slightly below the line to allow for slight movement of your hand while cutting Use your air-powered body saw to trim the lower portion of your rear bumper cover from one exhaust outlet to the other
15. Next, above each exhaust outlet, there are 2 (per side) etched-in slots where you'll need to drill a hole at the end of each slot
16. Use your body saw to finish cutting the slots until you have an even open line where each slot was etched into the bumper
17. Now clip in your Boss 302 or GT500 rear diffuser into your factory bumper cover with the supplied hardware
18. Reinstall your rear bumper cover, and your tail lamps, double-check all electrical connections, and you're all done!
