Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit
Since the 2015-2017 S550 hit the street, BMR has been researching the new IRS system for ways to improve upon it's performance. As we all know, wheel hop can be annoying - especially in an IRS car. With the addition of this cradle bushing lockout kit for BMR, you no longer have to worry about unnecessary bushing deflection. Bushing deflection is movement within the bushing itself that hinders the performance of the vehicle. This lockout kit eliminates up to 95%+ of bushing deflection under daily driving circumstances and no less than 80% on a track application. This kit catches both parts of the factory bushing's inner sleeves to nearly eliminate any fore/aft, later and vertical movement. This ensures your rear end is centered at all times and there is almost no movement.
BMR builds this kit from heavy duty 1 5/8" DOM steel tubing for strength and durability. Using the factory boltholes and hardware, this kit minimizes bushing and cradle deflection with no change in noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH). Once installed, this kit also doubles as a solid jacking point for the rear of the car. All of this is finished in their signature black hammertone powdercoat for great looks and a shield for the elements.
