BMR Tubular K-Member
Ford did a great job designing the 2005-14 Mustang. Everything comes apart so easily, it almost seems like it was designed by racers. To some, a tubular K-member may seem like a complicated and difficult installation, however in the 2005-14 Mustang it can be done in 2 hours with hand tools!
BMR's tubular K-member uses an integrated mount system, saving up to 5 pounds over the competition's designs. The OE K-member with motor mounts weighs 44 pounds while the integrated design weighs only 24 pounds. This creates a 20 pound weight reduction. This K-Member is designed to be used with BMR or factory A-arms and spindles. Fits V6 and V8 models.
BMR K-member replaces the heavy OE hydraulic motor mounts with high durometer polyurethane bushings resulting in increased noise transmission into the body. These bushings are designed for minimal flex and are identical in size and durometer to what is used in Prothane and Steeda's billet motor mounts (the only difference is that they are integrated into the K-member design) It is important to note that decreased motor movement from stiffer motor mounts will create additional noise and vibration into the body.
BMR fabrication is one of the top manufactures of Mustang suspension components that both improve performance and increase traction. With a full line of control arms, panhard bars, shock tower braces, k-members, anti-roll bar kits, and drive shaft safety loops, you can have your muscle car handling better than ever. All BMR components are engineered to fit with precision, hold up to the extreme demands of racing, and give you the edge over your competition!
I came across this 1993 coupe in the trailer park across town. She lived her life as a Ricky Bobby special . I took it down to nothing . Replacing almost everything . She now breaths with a 347 stroke...
