Required Parts

Requires the use of coil-overs.
Requires the use of caster camber plates.
1979-1984 Mustang owners will be required to use 85-04 rack bushings.
1979-1993 Mustangs will require control arms BMR-AA035R. Traditional coil springs can no longer be utilized with this k-member as it does not feature an upper spring perch.
1994-2004 Mustangs will require control arms BMR-AA041R. Traditional coil springs can no longer be utilized with this k-member as it does not feature an upper spring perch.

Product Notes

Factory and aftermarket engine mounts may have alignment pins that can cause fitment issues. Removal of the alignment pin might be necessary for correct mating of engine mount to k-member.
Clunks, squeaks, and pops can be normal occurrences with coil-over setups
Coil-over conversion may reduce the area between the strut and wheel. High positive offset wheels or wide wheels may have clearance issues between wheels/tires and coil-over setup.

1979-2004 Mustang BMR Standard Tubular K-Member - Coilovers
Trim some weight from the front end of your 1979-2004 Mustang while increasing room for performance modifications with this tubular k-member from BMR! Proudly made in the USA with heavy-duty 1.5" DOM tubing and 3/16" plate steel, this unit weighs in at 20lbs. By removing 28.5lbs of weight off of the front end of your Mustang, you will experience improved traction and weight transfer on the street and drag strip for the ultimate racing experience! Constructed with precise bends to reduce weight where it isn't needed, BMR went the extra mile and manufactured this tubular k-member to retain factory engine height. Steering geometry from the SN95 Mustang chassis was also factored in to improve bump steer conditions. This k-member is designed for the use of coilover struts the corresponding control arms. Traditional coil springs can no longer be utilized with this k-member as it does not feature an upper spring perch. Finished in a durable red powder coating, this k-member will resist corrosion as good as it looks and performs!
