Under heavy cornering or hard launches, the factory control arm link deflects and flexes due to the weak stamped steel design. BMR designed these 2015-2018 Mustang vertical control arm links to eliminate that. These links are constructed from 6061-T6 billet aluminum to eliminate flex as well as transfer power to the tires better. The delrin bushings will not deflect and will solidly link the rear spindle to the lower control arm. Delrin does not cause NVH (noise,vibration,harshness) the way spherical bushings do. These bind-free vertical links are built to handle anything you can throw at it no matter if you're drag racing, road racing or just driving on the street! Finished in a black anodized coating for long-lasting good looks and durability.
Delrin bushings are best suited in conditions where spherical bushings are not ideal. This includes areas that have roads salted in the winter months, excessively moist conditions, etc. Conditions like these will require a more frequent replacement of spherical style bushings.
When installing the TCA046 or TCA047 vertical links, BMR highly recommends specific supporting modifications to reduce toe and geometry change. Installing Delrin equipped vertical links without addressing the rear lower control arm front bushing and the toe knuckle bushing can increase the chance of excessive NVH and stress on parts.
