Install an upgraded camshaft in your cast iron GT40/GT40P cylinder heads equipped 1979-1995 Mustang 5.0/5.8 with this Comp Cams valve spring kit. The Comp Cams GT40 drop-in valve spring kit is designed to maximize the potential of cast iron GT40 and GT40P cylinder heads. This kit allows up to .570" lift and provides spring rates that can handle significantly more aggressive lobe profiles. These have been developed to make your valvetrain upgrade as easy as possible by combining quality components in a package that does not require any machining! These valve springs will drop right onto stock GT40 and GT40P cylinder heads. Comp Cames kit includes 1.486" diameter valve springs with 110 lbs. of seat pressure at 1.800" installed height with a max lift of 0.570". The package includes upgraded springs, Chromoly retainers, Viton valve stem seals, and eight standard and eight +.050 locks to achieve the correct installed height with factory valves.
