Circle D Specialties founded in 1976 as Circle D Automotive in Houston, Texas. The company evolved from a general auto repair shop to specializing in transmissions, its name originated from the founder's circle track racing days. The business expanded to manufacture OE-style torque converters in 1984, leading to the creation of Circle D Specialties. In 2004, their son and his wife bought the company,
shifting its focus to bring state of the art torque converter technology. Their manufacturing facility allows them to take purpose built drag racing torque converters to previously unheard of levels of performance.
This technology trickles down into their products for the street car enthusiast as well. With the powerful combination of CFD modeling software, SolidWorks design, 5-axis CNC-machining, & comprehensive data analysis all done in-house at their Houston, Texas facility. Circle D Specialties has the ability to custom tailor & tune torque converters to the highest degree for each unique combination.
