Whether you're upgrading the steel driveshaft in your 1999-2000 Lightning, or want to get rid of the thin walled, 5" driveshaft in your 2001-2004 Lightning; this DSS driveshaft will get the job done. DSS driveshafts reduce rotational mass, which leads to quicker acceleration and faster revving. This lightweight aluminum driveshaft comes in at 19.5lbs. DSS' Lightning driveshaft supports up to 1,000 horsepower, which makes it great for stock and fully built trucks, for the ultimate peace of mind!
DSS High Quality Construction
DSS is widely known for high quality driveshafts, and this Lightning driveshaft is no exception. Constructed with 6061-T6 aluminum, this driveshaft can handle up to 3,450ft/lbs of torque! The 4" diameter provides more clearance on lowered trucks compared to the factory 5" driveshaft. DSS balances this driveshaft using one of the most sophisticated machines in the industry for vibration free performance. 1350 series Spicer U-joints are utilized to provide a strong and smooth operation.
Warranty
The Driveshaft Shop covers this 4" aluminum driveshaft with a 1 year warranty against manufacture's defects.
