They are also used to retain the tailgate cables, keeping them from getting stuck between the body and tailgate when shut. Made of a durable plastic construction, with the correct retaining pin molded in to make a secure connection. Installation is simple: place the clip in the correct location and tap the retaining pin to spread the tabs, preventing it from backing out.
