Cooling Fan & Clutch KitThis 1992-1996 Ford Bronco 5.0/5.8 replacement fan & clutch kit is perfect for restoring your OBS Truck's motor. This kit includes a new fan, clutch, and all the hardware needed to install it. Over the years, fans can become broken, clutches can become damaged, and hardware can start to rust or stripped. This can leave you with a malfunctioning cooling system, causing overheating and many other problems.
Dorman Cooling Fan
Dorman's fan blade is made to factory specs for a quick and easy fix to a malfunctioning factory blade. Manufactured from high-quality steel construction with the blade riveted in place just like the original for a long service life. When these blades get damaged, it can seriously affect how your motor cools. Don't let a broken blade keep your engine from maintaining proper engine temps; pick up this Dorman fan blade!
Fan Clutch When the engine is cool or even at normal operating temperature, the fan clutch partially disengages your Bronco's cooling fan, located at the front of the water pump and driven by the serpentine belt. This saves power since your engine does not have to drive the cooling fan at full speed. When your engine temperature rises above the fan clutch's engagement temperature, the fan becomes engaged and draws more air through your radiator, which lowers the coolant temperature to an acceptable level.
Hardware KitThis hardware kit is designed to properly connect the fan blade to the fan clutch and the fan clutch to the water pump in your Bronco. The fan blade and clutch play a vital role in keeping your engine cool. Without the proper cooling, your engine could suffer overheating issues. Featuring the correct thread pitches and a corrosion-resistant coating, the hardware in this kit is an excellent replacement for the old factory bolts. Included in this kit are the four fan clutch-to-water pump bolts as well as the four fan clutch-to-fan bolts.
Fan Clutch Failure
When your fan clutch fails normally, it will stop engaging and allow the fan to spin freely, not pulling in the air required to cool your engine. This will cause your engine to overheat and your air conditioning to stop cooling because the air conditioner's condenser is in front of your radiator. Though not as common, another symptom of fan clutch failure is when the fan clutch is locked up or always 100% engaged. If this happens during winter, the heater will blow lukewarm air instead of hot air.
