The factory distributor gear is often cast or bronze, and the hardened roller cams will destroy them very quickly; replacing them with steel gear prevents this issue. Constructed of hardened steel with premium helical cut gears, this distributor gear will improve timing consistency from stock to a performance-built 5.0/5.8 engine.
