5.0 Resto Alternator Hardware Kit - 5.0
Secure your 1979-1993 Mustang 5.0 alternator with a hardware kit manufactured by ARP exclusively for 5.0 Resto. Whether installing a new alternator or upgrading to a 130-amp or 200-amp alternator, new hardware is always a great choice. These alternator bolts and nuts are manufactured by ARP and are constructed from 8740 chrome-moly steel. They are nominally rated at a 180,000 psi tensile strength, a fair margin sturdier than standard Grade 8 hardware & significantly stronger than the factory pieces. Hex head flanged hardware has a black oxide coating applied for corrosion resistance and long service life. The longer lower alternator bolt works for all applications and has the correct threads for a simple installation. 5.0 Resto supplies two different upper alternator bolts the shorter bolt and washer are used for factory Fox Body 1G alternators. In comparison, the long bolt with the washer and nut is used for the none threaded 130-amp or 200-amp 3G alternators. All the hardware works with stock or 5.0 Resto it stock alternator brackets.
