4 Stars   Great price, good quality

My ball joints in my '86 checked out ok, after upgrading to firmer springs the factory boot tore (using the fork type separator isn't the greatest way to separate the spindle and ball joint...). Since the existing boots were probably 10+ years old I figured it's cheap insurance vs the cost of risking ball joint failure due to torn boots + contamination. Installation is super easy. The new boot fits well over the existing ball joint, and they are definitely good quality. Make sure you have plenty of new clean grease before you install the boot and re-torque the lower spindle nut.

I bought this kit simply for the fact I needed the new castle nuts. But it turns out this kit fits on the ball joints from the sn96 control arms I purchased. I would recommend the purchase of this kit if you upgrade the a arms. The didn't mention this on the product page but these covers are important.

They don't look like the factory pieces, hold more grease, and are more durable.

I bought a few days ago to replace torn boots on a used set of tubular a arms. The big boots did not seal around the base of the ball joint, and the small boots weren't even close (way too small). I thought that the joints were different than stock, by when I tried them on my stock a arms, same story. When I investigated the box, it had a label for ball joint boots for an 88-98 GMC 2WD P/U. Then I had to spend almost $6 just to ship this useless $13 piece of crap back. Fortunately I found the old stock set of a arms had good boots, so I used them on tubular arms. I wanted the polyurethane for longevity, but oh well.
