1979-2004 Mustang Floor Pan Seat Brace Repair Kit

Avoid costly full replacements with 5.0 Resto’s seat brace repair kit. Over time, seat studs may tear or rip out from the floor pan brace, causing loose seats and safety concerns. This brace supports the seat tracks and structural integrity. Designed as a preventative or repair solution, the kit includes 1/8" thick laser-cut steel plates and corrosion-resistant hardware. Minor damage can be reinforced; severe damage may require brace clearance and j-nuts. Built by Mustang experts, this kit ensures a secure, lasting fix for your project car.

Product Notes:

This kit will raise the front seats roughly 3/16th's of an inch, so if you are tall, please ensure you will have enough room between your head and the headliner.

Installation Notes:

The steel plates can be welded or secured with the provided bolts. If welding, remove paint for a good weld.
Paint the bare plates to prevent rust. If your seat brace is beyond repair, a full 1979-1993 Mustang floor pan seat brace is available.
For 1986-1991 Mustangs, bend the fuel pump relay bracket and reposition wiring to clear the new plate.
