Mustang Battery Tray & Cable Kit
The battery in your Mustang is one of the most important pieces and vital to your Mustang coming alive. This 1986-1993 Mustang 5.0 battery tray and cable kit will restore the components your battery needs to function and stay secure. This 5.0 Resto kit includes a new battery tray with hold down and hardware, positive battery cable, negative battery cable, and starter cable. These components will ensure your battery is powering your Mustang safely and securely.

Battery Tray Kit
The battery tray in your Mustang mounts to the front fender apron and provides a safe place for the battery to sit while protecting the metal apron from the corrosion caused by the battery. It is extremely common for the plastic battery trays found in Mustangs to be completely rotten after years of abuse. Once your battery tray has reached this level of deterioration your Mustang is generally unsafe to be driven on the open roads and will probably not pass tech inspection at the race track. This kit includes a new tray, mounting hardware, and battery hold down clamp.

Battery Cables
Just like the battery tray, the battery cables in your Mustang are vital to the operation of your Mustang. This kit includes new positive and negative battery cables. Over time, corrosion will deteriorate your battery cables which causes power loss, battery drain, and makes it unsafe to operate your Mustang. This kit includes new four gauge wires that are the correct length for a quick and easy installation.

Positive Cable not as pictured

The kit is nice with OEM ground cable. The positive cable is not as pictured (which is an OEM cable that matches the ground). The one received is a repro cable that looks nothing like the ground. It would work just fine. I ordered the pictured/listed kit for a reason. I could source the cheap cable for less money. I had to buy the positive cable elsewhere as customer service with LMR failed to even acknowledge my concern after several emails and pictures. They made no mention of it or a resolution or even offer an excuse. I assume they are out of the OEM cable and now substitute the cheaper one.

Just what I needed!!!

This is exactly what I was looking for. The previous owner of my car had an odd way of fixing things so when I found this kit it had everything I needed. It took about 20 minutes to install. It's great quality at a good price. Once again LMR has come through!! Thanks guys
