Application

Fits 1979-1986 Mustangs
Original speed nut for the battery hold-down must be used. If yours is missing, modification of the tray is required to use the speed nut included in this kit. The battery tray would need to be trimmed down to fit the thickness of the included speed nut.
1979-1985 Mustangs Passenger-mounted battery trays will use the two larger head/standard thread short bolts to attach the tray to the apron.
1986 Mustangs with driver-mounted trays will use the two smaller head metric short bolts to attach the tray to the apron and one long bolt and one clip nut to attach the tray to the frame rail.
The tray-to-frame rail bolts and clip nuts differ in thread pitch from the factory, so all new hardware in this kit needs to be used together.
