Mustang Low Coolant Sensor
Ensure your coolant level is being monitored properly with this Daniel Carpenter Reproductions 1990-1995 Mustang low coolant sensor assembly! This is the sensor that fits into the coolant overflow tank next to your radiator. This entire assembly includes the overflow cap as well as the long, two prong sensor that extends down to the bottom of the overflow tank. Its job is to read when the coolant is low inside of the tank. This sensor can become damaged or start to malfunction over time. When the sensor goes bad, you could experience a check engine light or a faulty reading. Replace yours with this high-quality replacement! This sensor hooks up to 3-wire plugs on 1990-1995 Mustangs.
Installation Note
Before replacing your sensor, double-check your pigtail connection. Over the years, the contacts become dirty and do not allow for proper voltage and sensor operation. Cleaning these connections may fix the operation of a faulty sensor.
To diagnose proper wiring voltage, confirm that there is 12V at both the RED/YELLOW and the LIGHT BLUE wires and that the black is confirmed to be grounded.
