1987-1989 Mustang Low Coolant Sensor
Ensure your coolant level is being monitored properly with this 1987-1989 Mustang low coolant sensor assembly! 1987-1989 Mustang owners no longer need to convert to a 1990-95 sensor style to replace a defective cylindrical style sensor. This is the factory 2 wire design, so the 3 wire plug conversion is no longer necessary! Being submerged in coolant over time the sensor can become damaged or start to malfunction. The low coolant level sensor is located in the coolant overflow tank next to your radiator and its job is to read when the coolant is low inside of the tank. Included with the overflow cap, sensor, and the correct wiring connection for a direct installation. DCR uses the updated, magnetic float switch design sensor that extends down to the bottom of the overflow tank and measures the level more accurately while being less prone to corrosion or failure. When the sensor goes bad, you could experience a check engine light or a faulty reading. Replace yours with this high-quality Daniel Carpenter replacement! This sensor hooks up to the factory 2-wire plug with no need to do any additional wiring.
