Easily integrate the factory gauge and A/C functions in your standalone ECU-equipped 1987-1989 Mustang with this complete integration harness from Special Vehicle Equipment®. A major issue when performing a standalone ECU or ECU swap in a Fox Body Mustang is that the factory A/C may no longer be able to run or be controlled. This harness is designed to connect to the factory dash harness, allowing the factory switches to still operate and control the function of your A/C. Additionally, this harness allows the functionality of the factory coolant temp and oil pressure gauges to be used while running a standalone ECU. This is achieved by utilizing both factory and aftermarket sensors that can be installed alongside your aftermarket sensors using any desired T-fittings or Y-blocks. Providing customers with an option of customizability, the harness arrives with multiple blunt leads to activate any relay-activated accessories like electric fans, water pumps, intercooler pumps, etc. This integration harness also allows the option to re-use your factory fuel pump wiring in order to retain the factory inertia switch. If the factory power wiring is not preferred, the green wire on the harness can be tied directly into the aftermarket fuel pump power relay going back towards the fuel pump.

What ECU will this harness work with?

• This harness is designed to integrate the factory dash, A/C controls, oil pressure, and coolant temp gauges, along with the ability to run factory fuel-pump wiring in 1987-1989 Fox Body Mustangs with a pushrod engine, and can be used with a variety of engine management systems. It is compatible with most standalone ECU systems such as Holley Terminator X, Pro-M Racing, Aces EFI, FiTech, and other aftermarket standalone ECUs with a standalone engine harness when properly installed and configured.
• Because standalone ECU systems can vary, you MUST verify the wiring and configuration of your specific Standalone Management System before installation.

Does this harness control the ECU?

• No. This is an integration harness rather than a standalone ECU or engine management harness. It works in parallel to your standalone system by connecting the appropriate factory vehicle systems to the standalone management system, allowing functions such as the factory gauges, A/C, fuel-pump wiring, and auxiliary relay-triggered accessories to remain functional when converting to a standalone ECU.
