Mustang Map Light Assembly Illuminate the interior of your Fox by replacing your defective 1985-1991 Mustang map light with this new assembly from Daniel Carpenter Restoration! Attached to the roof of your Fox is a map light assembly with a swiveling body to direct light to the driver or passenger holding the map on long trips. Over time, the chrome would start to pit, the internal switch contacts would corrode, and the bulb would burn out, leaving the light useless, and finding a replacement proved to be a task. This led many owners to remove the entire assembly and toss it in the trash. Now you can replace it with this exact reproduction of the original!
Daniel Carpenter Restoration Quality Daniel Carpenter Restoration is a trusted name in the Mustang community and known for producing high-quality products with factory fit and finish. This new map light assembly is no exception. This piece features a bright chrome swiveling light and is identical to the factory. Inside this chrome, the body is a 5,000K LED light bulb that shines three times brighter than the original! The chrome light assembly is attached to an ABS plastic base that features the factory grain and texture your original base had. When the chrome light is in its upright and locked position, it rests against the on/off switch and is held in place by a spring-loaded chrome clip. Dielectric grease has been applied to the internal switch contacts to prevent the corrosion that usually causes the original light to fail. Finally, a smoke gray finish is applied to the base for a factory-correct interior restoration!
