If you aren't careful when removing or replacing your 1979-2004 Mustang Door Handle, you could break the retainer clip that holds the rod in place. This is the small, plastic clip that attaches the door lock rod and door release handle rod to the latch. This 5.0 Resto clip is a direct replacement for your original and secures the lock rod in place for the door handle.
