Installation Note

When uninstalling the old latch striker, the backing plate with integrated nut may fall back not allowing the threads to reengage when reinstalling. To help, place your hand behind the backing plate, bringing the gap between the plate and the latch sheet metal to a minimum, and then thread in the new latch striker.
