SVE 6R80 Swap Flexible Transmission Dipstick
This Special Vehicle Equipment® 6R80 transmission flexible dipstick makes checking and adding transmission fluid easier on your 6R80 swapped 1979-2004 Mustang! One of the biggest complaints of the Ford 6R80 transmission is the lack of a proper dipstick; all they have is a tiny service port and a joke of a dipstick. Not only does this make it horrible to check the fluid level, but it's a nightmare to add fluid. By adding an SVE flexible dipstick, you can easily add and check fluid levels without crawling under your vehicle and potentially being burned by hot exhaust. Installation is simple, just thread the fitting into the factory service port location with the preinstalled rubber seal, then route the hose up the firewall. Where it will meet the aluminum mounting bracket that acts as a base for the dipstick, the dipstick then threads directly into the bracket with an O-ring seal. This not only keeps out contaminants but also prevents the dipstick from popping out.

Fitment Notes

Due to the dipstick's universal nature, it does not come premarked for fluid level. SVE suggests matching your fluid level on your factory dipstick to match the new flexible dipstick by scribing a line to mark the level.
