5.0 Resto Convertible Trunk Hinge Hardware Kit
Ensure the trunk hinges and trunk lid on your convertible are bolted down properly with this 1983-1993 Mustang convertible trunk hinge hardware kit! 5.0 Resto put together this solution-based kit to replace the hardware that fastens your trunk hinges in place. This kit includes the two exterior hinge to trunk lid nuts that screw onto the factory stud attached to the exterior hinge. In the event this stud is missing, 5.0 Resto includes two repair bolts that secure the lid to the hinge from the bottom. Four exterior hinge to trunk lid screws (two on each side) are included to secure the side closest to the convertible top. Finally, eight nuts are included to secure the interior support hinges in place. There are two that secure the hinge to the trunk lid on each side, and two that secure the hinge to the body on each side.
Product Note
The interior support hinge nuts are pre-packaged as 12 nuts, but only 8 will be used. Refer to the PDF instructions linked below for an installation guide.
