General Belt Info
An improperly functioning Mustang serpentine belt can cause premature accessory failure and should be inspected for any signs of cracking or uneven wear regularly. Replacement recommended every 20,000 miles.
After much research I chose the Goodyear Gatorback belt due to lack of squeals others have experienced. Goodyear knows a thing or two about producing quality rubber which was a selling point as well. To help with the install I marked either a O (over) or U (under) on each pulley to help with belt routing.

I ordered the following Continental hoses and belt for my 2008 S197:
1. Reservoir to radiator 2. Upper coolant 3. Lower coolant 4. Serpentine belt
They were installed as general maintenance replacements. I've had the parts on for a few weeks now, and use them during my last track session. So far, they have all held up pretty well. No leaks, no visible wear of any kind. The rubber feels to be of very good quality. Seems like they will last for a long time. As far as the serpentine or V belt goes, it appears to be of high quality, but I noticed the ribbing used on the belt is quite different then the factory Ford Motorcraft belt. That is, the Motorcraft belt ribs run directional with pulleys whereas Goodyears are cross sectioned. I decided to return the serpentine belt because the Motorcraft belts just appeared to be more in line with all the pulleys. Overall, these parts appear to be high quality parts and should last and be worry-free for years to come. Too bad LMR does not sell upper and lower heater hoses as well; I would have bought them. I would buy again.
