Connecting the upper radiator hose to the radiator, this thermostat housing attaches to the lower intake manifold to properly secure the thermostat in place on your 5.0 or 5.8 equipped Mustang. Over the years, the stock piece is prone to pitting & corrosion that prevents the hoses from sealing properly. Featuring a 5.0 Resto's own exclusive cast aluminum thermostat housing modeled after an OE housing, it has the correct recess for the thermostat and a smooth gasket mating surface to eliminate potential coolant leaks. A 3/8" NPT female threaded port is on the top, so you can mount a temperature sensor if desired. Included is a new thermostat housing gasket to make your installation easier.
