Add this 1979-1993 Mustang black hammertoneMatrix tubular k-member & control arm kit to your Foxbody for a huge upgrade in performance. Not only do these lightweight parts give you great weight reduction, they can give you better suspension performance and increase steering response.
This lightweight k-member directly replaces your factory member, bolting into all factory mounting points. It is designed to work with both stock or aftermarket a-arms for great versatility. Not only do tubular k-members drop a lot of weight, they also stiffen up your chassis and give you more clearance in your engine bay. Includes motor mount pads for factory style motor mounts. Requires offset rack bushings and a coilover kit.
Tubular Control Arms
These non-adjustable a-arms add strength and durability to your suspension while giving you better clearance underneath your vehicle. Designed for use with Team Z k-members, these arms use quality ball joints and energy suspension bushings for maximum performance. Constructed from 4130 chromoly and are tig welded for added rigidity. Finish with a tough black powder coating for great looks.
Compatible with both 302 & 351 based engines
-Depending on your vehicle, modification of the stock steering shaft or a low profile steering shaft may be required.
-If running 94-04 spindles, you will need to run a spacer or stack washers between spindle and nut for the castle nut and cotter pin to line up.
- Fits 1979-1993 Mustangs
The suspension bushings included with this part can only be lubricated with PTFE grease, also referred to as "Marine Grease". PTFE grease is a very sticky, opaque grease that is water proof and will not degrade the bushing material. If lubed properly at installation, these bushings will not need to be lubricated again. Use of any other grease on these bushings will cause the bushing to fail and any bushing warranty to be voided.
Engine Mount Fitment Note
Stock and aftermarket engine mounts can have alignment pins that can cause fitment issues. Removal of the alignment pin might be necessary for correct mating of engine mount to k-member.
