8.8" Pinion Crush Sleeve Shim Kit
Easily install the gear set in your 1993-1995 SVT Lightnings rear differential without using an annoying crush sleeve by using the pinion crush sleeve shim kit. This spacer is designed to take the place of the crush sleeve that is such a pain to crush when installing new rear gears in your 8.8" carrier. A pinion crush sleeve is a collapsible spacer that installs on the pinion and preloads the pinion bearings. Crush sleeves are not reusable and must be replaced if the pinion nut is loosened or removed. These crush sleeve shims are adjustable to allow the needed preload without having to use a crush sleeve and are fully reusable. Designed with varying thicknesses so you can dial in your pinion preload on your differential.
