Mustang McLeod Lightened Steel Flywheel
Bolt on faster acceleration to your Mustang's engine with this McLeod lightened steel flywheel! Reducing rotational mass tremendously helps your engine rev quicker. McLeod's flywheel weighs in at 20.04 pounds, which is around 7 pounds lighter than your factory flywheel! Constructed with CNC machined, billet alloy steel; this flywheel is built to last and arrives ready to install. McLeod machines this flywheel with 164 teeth, an 8 bolt pattern, and is neutrally balanced to be a direct bolt on to your engine. The flywheel is SFI approved and safe to race on at your local track!

This Flywheel does not come with dowel pins or hardware unless otherwise noted.

Billet Aluminum vs Steel
Steel flywheels are recommended for use on street and drag strip applications that need extra inertia to help you get off the line.

Aluminum flywheels are recommended for the following:

Road race applications that want instant acceleration out of the corners.

4.30 or lower gears that keep your engine in the upper RPM range.

This flywheel is neutrally balanced but is drilled to accept balance weights for externally balanced engines.
This flywheel will NOT work with the MCL-697507M or 2011-2017 OE factory clutch kits.

Count the number of bolts on your valve covers to ensure flywheel bolt pattern.
11 bolts - Romeo - 6 bolt flywheel
13/14 bolts - Windsor - 8 bolt flywheel
