Clevite P-Series Main Bearings - 5.0 - 0.020"Add a fresh set of bearings to the bottom end of your 302 engine with a set of 0.020" undersized crankshaft Clevite P-Series main bearings for your 1979-1995 Mustang 5.0. Whether you are building a new engine or refreshing your engine, new bearings are always a must to prevent damage and wear. Clevite P-Series main bearings were one of the oldest members of the Clevite 77-bearing family and are made durable enough for high-revving engines. An exclusive tri-layer design is capable of carrying max loads of up to 12,000 psi, which is up to 60% higher than the load of stock bearings. The inner copper-lead alloy layer, precision steel back layer, and an electroplated white metal "babbitt" surface layer reduce drag while increasing horsepower. Enlarged chamfers are used for greater crankshaft clearance and are made without flash plating like the competition for better seating. Oil grooves are extended all the way around both halves for superior oiling.
