The inner copper-lead alloy layer, precision steel back layer, and an electroplated white metal "babbitt" surface layer reduce drag while increasing horsepower. Enlarged chamfers are used for greater camshaft clearance and are made without flash plating like the competition for better seating. Oil grooves are extended and chamfered for superior oiling.
