Z23 brake pads are an upgrade over the stock pads featuring a low-dust ceramic formula infused with carbon-fiber to strengthen the compound and provide optimal stopping power. Evolution drilled and slotted zinc plated 11.71" front rotors come mill balanced for reduced vibrations and machined for an easy bolt-on solution! PowerStop supplies hi-temp brake lubricant as well as stainless steel hardware where needed to get the job done right!

Z23 Truck & Tow Carbon-Ceramic Pads
The carbon-ceramic compound used in the PowerStop Z23 Truck brake pads is intended to increase stopping power while reducing brake dust and noise. PowerStop reinforces the compound using a low-dust ceramic formula infused with carbon fiber for ultimate fade resistance and offers extraordinary stopping power under the toughest conditions. Z23 pads retain constant wear and performance while ensuring a quick break-in thanks to OE-positive mold technology and a thermally scorched pad surface. Chamfered edges help optimize cooling and suppress noise, while additional noise dampening is performed by the dual-layer rubberized shims. Stainless-steel hardware and hi-temp brake lubricant is included with the brake pads making it easier to complete your brake job.

PowerStop Evolution drilled and slotted rotors offer a true bolt-on performance upgrade with no modifications necessary. Precision machined with cross-drilled holes for maximum cooling while the rounded slots sweep away gas and moisture for a controlled contact patch allowing smooth, safe braking. Silver zinc dichromate plating resists rust and corrosion, keeping your rotors looking new for years to come. Rotors are 100% mill-balanced and precision-made with the correct weight and vane count as the originals. Fitment Notice

Brake pad break-in procedure:
  • Perform 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool and do not come to a complete stop. If you’re forced to stop, either shift into neutral or give room in front so you can allow the vehicle to roll slightly while waiting for the light. The rotors will be very hot and holding down the brake pedal will allow the pad to create an imprint on the rotor. This is where the judder can originate from.
  • Then do 5 mod­erate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool. You should expect to smell some resin as the brakes get hot.
  • After this is complete, drive around for as long as possible without excessively heating the brakes and without coming to a complete stop (Try for about 5 minutes at moderate speed). 
  • This is the cooling stage. It allows the heated resin in the brake pads to cool and cure.
  • After the brakes have cooled to standard operating temperature, you may use the brakes normally.
