The RAM Concept clutch and flywheel kit is the perfect performance upgrade for your Tremec Magnum XL equipped 2018-2022 Mustang 5.0. If your S550 is putting down some serious horsepower, your factory clutch setup won't last long. This is where the Ram Concept clutch kit comes into play. Featuring a 10.5 Concept clutch dual disk clutch kit, a Concept 10.5 pressure plate that has a higher clamp load than other modular units, a Ram billet aluminum flywheel, and a clutch alignment tool, this kit is just what you need to handle up to 750 horsepower. Ram's Concept clutch system is designed for smooth engagement and light pedal effort. It also has a strapped floater plate for quiet operation. The Ram Billet aluminum flywheel adapts the dual disk clutch to work on your Magnum XL transmission and has a replaceable friction surface for easy maintenance.
Clutch Design Features
The floater plate is driven from three sets of straps that eliminate any floater plate rattle at idle. The top organic clutch disc features a 26 spline, five urethane encapsulated springs, and a hub assembly that absorbs the initial engagement of the clutch and reduces the chance of chatter on takeoff. The 2nd disc features an organic compound, a 26 spline solid hub for more horsepower capabilities. This clutch is compatible with the factory hydraulic release bearing. However, the factory-bearing spacer will need to be removed to maintain proper pedal travel.
Aluminum Flywheel Features
Ram's billet aluminum flywheel adapts there Concept clutches to work on your factory transmission. Utilizing an internally balanced 11" flywheel meeting SFI 1.1 specs. A matching 164 tooth ring gear was used to work with your factory starter. The aluminum construction kept the weight down to just 26.5lbs and was built right here in the U.S.A! The extra finishing touch is the pre-installed roller pilot bearing.
