2011-2017 Mustang Ram Concept Dual Disc Clutch - 10.5" - 23 spline - 5.0
The RAM Concept clutch kit is the perfect performance upgrade for your MT82 transmission equipped 2011-2017 Mustang 5.0. If your S197 or S550 is putting down some serious horsepower, your factory clutch won't last long. This is where the Ram Concept clutch kit comes into play. Featuring a 10.5 Concept clutch system that bolts to your existing 11" flat steel or 11" aluminum flywheel, a Concept 10.5 pressure plate that has a higher clamp load than other modular units, and a clutch alignment tool, this kit is just what you need to handle up to 750 horsepower. Ram's Concept clutch system is designed for smooth engagement and light pedal effort. It also has a strapped floater plate for quiet operation.
Design Features
The floater plate is driven from three sets of straps that eliminate any floater plate rattle at idle. The top organic clutch disc features a 23 spline, five urethane encapsulated springs, and a hub assembly that absorbs the initial engagement of the clutch and reduces the chance of chatter on takeoff. The 2nd disc features an organic compound, a 23 spline solid hub for more horsepower capabilities. This clutch is compatible with the factory hydraulic release bearing. However, the factory-bearing spacer will need to be removed to maintain proper pedal travel.
