Whether you are installing new rear end gears, changing differential gaskets, or replacing your differential fluid, this Royal Purple max gear oil and friction modifier kit is the perfect solution. Featuring a pair of 1-quart bottles of 75w90 Royal Purple gear oil and one 4oz bottle of friction modifier, this kit has everything you need to refill your differential. Formulated to improve the efficiency of rear end assemblies and manual transmissions, this kit virtually eliminates both gear and bearing wear. It’s designed to maximize power and provide unsurpassed protection to heavily loaded gears while makeing gears run smoother, quieter, cooler and longer without overhauls. Max-Gear outperforms other gear oils because it combines the highest quality synthetic oils with Royal Purple’s proprietary Synslide additive technology. Max-Gear is recommended for use in truck, motor home / RV, and automotive front or rear differentials, manual transmissions, and lower gear units of marine engines that specify the use of an API GL-5 or GL-4 fluid. All viscosities of Max-Gear are formulated with hypoid friction modifiers necessary for use in clutch or cone type differentials.

Ford Performance Friction Modifier
Although Royal Purple has some friction modifier in it, the Ford rear ends needs a little bit more. This kit includes one bottle of friction modifier to provide smooth operation of clutch-type limited-slip differentials. The specially formulated additive eliminates rear end chatter for quiet operation.

Fluid Note
If running an aftermarket differential cover, check the fluid capacity recommendation as more fluid may be required.
