Steeda IRS Subframe Support Kit - StreetSteeda's Street IRS Subframe support kit will have you ready to eliminate wheel hop and take your new 2015-2025 Mustang coupe to the street and track with confidence. One of the first upgrades these cars need is to beef up the rear subframe or "cradle," and it's easy with this Steeda IRS subframe support system. Steeda's kit gives you the fundamental foundations for ultimate traction and suspension performance. The factory IRS subframe mounts to the Mustang chassis with 4 mounting locations utilizing 4 soft rubber bushings with plenty of voids, even in the bolt holes. Steeds put together this collection of parts to address these issues; included in this kit are new support braces, bushing supports, and alignment bushings.
Subframe Support Braces
Steeda subframe support braces are designed to tie together the chassis and suspension together, reducing unwanted movement. Triangulating the braces was done utilizing existing location on the chassis, so no welding or drilling is required. Tieing the rocker panels, the front mounting location of the IRS subframe, and the rear mount of the lower control arms connecting these 3 points together adds rigidity and more control of the whole car. Steeda rear braces are built in-house from 4130 chromoly steel and powder coated in a silver metal flake. Making not only a strong but a great-looking addition to your rear IRS subframe!
Subframe Bushing Supports
Steeda IRS Subframe Bushing Support System is made from CNC machined 6061 aluminum. The Steeda kit gives the rear end a much more solid feel with no increase in NVH at all. The Steeda IRS subframe bushings eliminate the rear subframe movement notorious in the 2015-2025 Mustang. A stiffened subframe allows the car to increase traction to the rear wheels and helps eliminate wheel hop. The bushing support kit is easy to install using basic hand tools.
Subframe Alignment Bushings
From the factory, your Mustang's subframe mounting holes are very large compared to the mounting bolts. This difference can make your sub-frame misaligned up to 1/2" left or right! Steeda has designed these high-quality sleeves to alleviate this problem. These sleeves are constructed from CNC-machined Delrin to avoid mating two dissimilar metals next to each other. This prevents corrosion as well as reduces weight compared to other metal sleeves, and the Delrin material prevents any increase in NVH. These sleeves simply slide into the subframe mounting holes and fill the extra space between the mount and the bolt.
