Install this Steeda clutch spring assist on your 2015-2023 Mustang for a more linear clutch pedal feel! Your S550 comes with a factory-installed 185 lb/in clutch assist spring. While it's designed to reduce pedal effort, it also makes the clutch pedal feel vague and disconnected. As you press the pedal, the spring compresses and then extends partway through its travel, creating an inconsistent, non-linear feel. This makes it harder to smoothly control and modulate the clutch. Removing the stock spring can improve feel but may cause chatter, NVH, or even damage the slave cylinder. Avoid these problems by installing a Steeda S550 clutch assist spring into your ride. The Steeda clutch assist spring completely replaces the factory 185 lb/in spring with a new 35 lb/in spring. For just the right amount of spring rate to get you the perfect clutch pedal feel you look for in a Mustang. This assist spring is manufactured from piano wire spring steel, which naturally has high tensile strength and high elasticity.
