The front struts usually take the most abuse and wear quicker than the rear shocks. Ensure your S197 is handling at its best with this direct replacement strut from Strange. This adjustable strut features a 10-way adjustable dampening range to dial in the feel of your Mustang. Whether you drive on the street or the track, these adjustable struts can be as soft as you want or as firm as you want. These Mustang adjustable front struts can be used on street, strip, pro touring, and drag race applications. This 2005-2010 Mustang adjustable front strut is constructed with steel for strength and durability. The twin-tube design will provide maximum ride comfort and performance. Strange Engineering has over 49 years of experience in manufacturing, design, and innovation in the racing community.

Drag Shock/Strut Valving Note

Drag racing shocks prioritize traction for fast, straight-line acceleration, while regular shocks focus on a comfortable ride and handling. The main difference is in the shock valving; drag shocks/struts will extend more quickly but will not compress as fast to help maintain traction. This, in turn, causes drag shocks/struts to be very bouncy and unpredictable on the street due to the lack of compression to help settle the suspension after a bump or sudden direction change.

Will NOT fit S6001 coil-over kit.
Adjustment Note - Rotating the knob clockwise(right) will firm up the shock, and rotating counter-clockwise(left) will soften the shock.
