Protect your outer tie rod from excessive heat from your big brake kit with SVE's GT500 style brake backing plates for your 2005-14 S197 Mustang! When upgrading your S197 brake, the factory dust shield comes in contact with the new rotor and caliper. This issue was solved by going to a smaller backing plate that only protects the vital suspension components from the high heat your brake system can create. SVE created its own backing plates for its own big brake kits, improving upon the design. Perfect for high-performance track use on your 2005-14 S197 Mustang

Made from durable steel construction that is precision laser cut and accurately bent with all of the correct mounting. Giving ample clearance to brake and suspension components for a perfect fitment without modification. To protect the backing plates, SVE applies a satin black powder coating that will resist heat and corrosion.
