Neutral Safety Switch Notice The SVE 6R80 Shifter linkage is only designed to move the transmission’s shift lever to its desired physical location. Due to the mechanical nature of modifying transmission linkage and functions within your driveline, it is possible for the vehicle to crank/start while in a drive gear without a properly functioning neutral safety switch. The 6R80 neutral safety switch is internal. You MUST follow the installation guidelines and instructions that are provided by the manufacturer for whatever transmission controller is being used on your specific application to ensure it is wired correctly in order to function as intended. Failure to do this will allow a vehicle to start while in a drive gear, which can cause damage or injury.
