Do I Need Anything Else For Installation?
While this radiator can be installed on most Mustangs without the need for additional parts, there are a few upgrades you may want to consider while you are replacing your radiator.

Radiator Fan/Shroud - When replacing your radiator, this is the perfect time to replace a broken or worn-out radiator fan and shroud. Having a fully functioning cooling system is essential to the performance of your Fox Body's engine.
Silicone Hoses - Now is a good time to check the condition of your radiator hoses. The factory rubber hoses are great for factory applications, but for those who want a better upgrade, silicone hoses are the way to go!
Upper Radiator Brackets - Don't bolt down a new SVE radiator with old, rusted-out hardware. Grab a set of new 5.0 Resto upper radiator brackets to give your engine bay a cleaner look!

Aluminum Radiator Maintenance

Proper maintenance of an aluminum radiator is essential for the longevity and efficiency of your vehicle's cooling system. Start by performing a complete flush of the entire cooling system, including all hoses and the engine block, to ensure it is free from old fluid or contaminants. Always refer to your user manual for the correct type of coolant and maintain a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. Failing to do this can lead to electrolysis, where electricity flows through the system, causing severe corrosion and pitting on the aluminum surfaces. To avoid this, regular maintenance every 30,000 miles is recommended, including flushing and inspecting the system. Additionally, NEVER use the radiator as a ground for electrical components, as this can accelerate electrolysis and lead to further damage.
