A temperature sensor with a dedicated ground wire is required.
LMR recommends the use of Teflon tape for each of the three connecting points.
Clocking of the Y-block may be needed to clear the wiring harness to engine components.
The anodized coating on this product may need to be removed on any threads for grounding or continuity for some sensors. The use of a thread chasing tool will help with the removal of this coating.

Drastically save time and coolant during your electric fan installation with this 1986-1993 Mustang SVE heater tube Y-block! Typically during an electric fan installation, you'll have to remove the thermostat housing to install the temperature sending unit that relays information to your fan controller. This means losing a substantial amount of coolant and making a mess just to hook up this sensor. SVE's heater tube Y-block eliminates the need to remove the thermostat housing by easily installing in your heater tube! You'll simply transfer your existing sending unit to one of the ports on the new Y-block, then install the fan controller's temp sensor in the other port. This little piece saves a tremendous amount of time and effort!

Featuring a CNC-machined, 6061 billet aluminum construction; this block is precision cut to exact tolerances. No fighting cross threads or burs, this block arrives ready to install. The female ports are 3/8" NPT, while the male fitting is 3/8" NPT. A black anodized finish is applied so this piece looks right at home in your engine bay. SVE's logo is precisely engraved into the block to give you the peace of mind you've installed quality to your engine.
