Mustang UPR 4130 Chrome-moly K-Member Kit

Improve the suspension of your Fox Body, while reducing weight, with this UPR Chrome-moly K-member kit for 1979-1993 Mustang! Designed to handle the rigors of racing, and everyday wear and tear; this K-member kit will transform the look and feel of your Fox! UPR's tubular K-member, and control arms, are 64 pounds lighter than the factory units! Reduced weight on your front end greatly improves weight transfer, handling, and acceleration. Along with the reduced weight, the tubular design maximizes header and oil pan clearance. A set of UPR coil-over springs are included to dial in the ride height of your Mustang, as well as further improve weight transfer, and handling. UPR's K-member kit provides endless benefits to make your driving experience as enjoyable as it gets!

UPR Quality

UPR products are built with the highest quality materials right here in the USA, backed by their lifetime warranty, and this K-member kit is no exception. Constructed using seamless, 4130 Chrome-moly tubing; this kit is built to last. TIG-welded billet fixtures, along with 1/4" thick motor mount pads, ensure a strong foundation for your engine and suspension. UPR utilizes a silver, powder coat finish that resists corrosion, and looks as good as it performs! Each control arm includes new bushings, shells, and ball joints for quick and easy installation!

UPR Coilover Springs

UPR's coil-over spring kits are designed to provide improved suspension performance while allowing you to dial in your ride height exactly where it needs to be. These coil-overs have a military-grade thread and exclusive adjuster nut with a set screw, to ensure it never moves after its set. UPR's coil-over springs can be adjusted with no tools required! This kit includes a pair of 12", 200lb springs, by Viking, that are great for drag race, and street/strip applications.

Applications And Fitment Notes:

  • Factory and aftermarket engine mounts may have alignment pins that can cause fitment issues. Removal of the alignment pin might be necessary for correct mating of engine mount to k-member.
  • We recommend a bump steer kit with this product.
  • The coil-overs in this kit do not fit OEM shocks.
  • The use of anti-seize on the threaded collars is required for the smooth operation of adjustment nuts.
  • Clunks, squeaks, and pops can be normal occurrences with coil-over setups
  • Coil-over conversion may reduce the area between the strut and wheel. High positive offset wheels or wide wheels may have clearance issues between wheels/tires and coil-over setup.
  • Installation of the coilovers may require clearancing around the shock towers and frame rails.
  • The suspension bushings included with this part can only be lubricated with PTFE grease, also referred to as "Marine Grease". PTFE grease is a very sticky, opaque grease that is water proof and will not degrade the bushing material. If lubed properly at installation, these bushings will not need to be lubricated again. Use of any other grease on these bushings will cause the bushing to fail and any bushing warranty to be voided.

    About This Brand

In 1989, Mark Mainiero and his son Joe started UPR Products with Mustangs in mind. With the help of their employees Jeremy Martorella and Bart Tobener, they brought in more racing victories and records than any other shop of that time. In 1998, Joe recognized the need for a company that fully understood the Mustang racer's suspension needs. While making customer service his main priority, he strived to offer the strongest, lightest, and highest quality parts at an affordable price. A firm believer in the “keep it simple” philosophy Joe made sure all his components could be easily installed and adjusted. Shop UPR for high quality Mustang performance and dress up components.
