1979-93 Mustang UPR Chrome Moly K-Member & Coil Over Kit w/ 14" 175lb Springs
This UPR K-member and Coil-Over Kit for your 1979-1993 Mustang with a 5.0L or 351W based engine includes 14" 175lb coil-over springs, by Viking. This spring rate is the perfect compromise between drag performance & street manners on full-weight cars. We recommend this kit for drag race and mild street applications. UPR's Chrome-moly K-member kit will save more weight and exceed any strength limitations of mild steel while allowing maximum header and oil pan clearance. This kit was designed for the abuse of drag race and Street Enthusiasts, most importantly it will handle the everyday wear and tear of city & highway streets like that was its main intent.

Constructed using seamless, 4130 Chrome-moly tubing; this kit is built to last. TIG-welded billet fixtures, along with 1/4" thick motor mount pads, ensure a strong foundation for your engine and suspension. UPR utilizes a silver, powder coat finish that resists corrosion, and looks as good as it performs! Each control arm includes new bushings, shells, and ball joints for quick and easy installation!

UPR Coilover Springs

UPR's coil-over spring kits are designed to provide improved suspension performance while allowing you to dial in your ride height exactly where it needs to be. These coil-overs have a military-grade thread and exclusive adjuster nut with a set screw, to ensure it never moves after its set. UPR's coil-over springs can be adjusted with no tools required! This kit includes a pair of 14", 175lb springs, by Viking, that are great for drag race, and street/strip applications.

Required Parts:

Requires the use of caster camber plates.
79-93 applications will need an 87-93 V8 or 94-04 spindle and applicable struts for proper fitment. The coil-overs included are designed to fit stock, Koni Yellow adjustable, Koni Orange non-adjustable, or Strange 10-way adjustable.
1979-1984 Mustang owners will be required to use 85-04 rack bushings.

Fitment Notice

1979-1993 Ford Mustangs w/ pushrod 5.0/5.8
Factory and aftermarket engine mounts may have alignment pins that can cause fitment issues. Removal of the alignment pin might be necessary for correct mating of the engine mount to the K-member.
We recommend a bump steer kit with this product.
The use of anti-seize on the threaded collars is required for the smooth operation of the adjustment nuts.
Clunks, squeaks, and pops can be normal occurrences with coil-over setups
Coil-over conversion may reduce the area between the strut and wheel. High positive offset wheels or wide wheels may have clearance issues between wheels/tires and a coil-over setup.
