Modern System Components
Vintages Air's Gen 5 HVAC system features a replacement blow-molded HVAC box that conveniently mounts in the factory location under your dash using all new mounting brackets and hardware. This HVAC box utilizes a modern aluminum plate-and-fin cooling coil for maximum heat transfer. A separate high-capacity copper parallel-flow heat coil handles the heater aspect of this kit and keeps you nice and warm during the winter. The HVAC box is controlled by electronic blend door motors which allows for rapid vent temperature adjustment along with dash/floor/defrost blend. Rubber well-nut mounting points for improved NVH isolation on top of the quieter blower motor help keep your interior more silent. Improved diagnostics and advanced systematic fail-safes, along with removable access covers mean servicing the system is easier than factory!

 

Improved Controls
With modern equipment, reusing the outdated controls was out of the question, so Vintage Air designed and produced a full replacement HVAC control panel. Bolting directly into the factory location and supplied with a new trim bezel, it won't look out of place in an original interior. Using all electronic controllers simplifies the system, eliminating the headaches of the factory control system. Variable fan speed control allows you to dial in the perfect air flow for just the right temperature. Reusing the original vents but converting the ducting with molded adapters gives you proper airflow and directs it between the dash, floor, and defrost vents. 

Engine Bay Components
Topping off the already extensive parts in this kit are all new engine bay components. Everything is included, from the firewall all the way to the compressor and condenser. A flat steel firewall plate with all of the correct line locations is used to cover the factory blower fan assembly, cleaning up the engine bay. High-performance A/C compressor cycles the R134a refrigerant through the large-capacity condenser and brand-new preformed lines. All new hardware, fitting, and mounting brackets for the compressor and condenser round out the installation.
