In 1979 through 1990 the front Fox Body Mustang fenders were all manufactured in the same shape and design. However, in 1991, to accommodate the newly introduced 16-inch factory wheel and tire specifications, the front fenders on the 1991-1993 Mustangs were revised to feature a slightly enlarged wheel well opening.
1979-1990 Fox Body Front Fender
The 79-90 Mustang front fender, as shown below, maintained the standard design and curvature of the wheel well opening. All 1979-1993 front fenders are interchangeable, but they are year-specific if you want to stay period-correct or replace the factory fender. The wheel well opening for the 79-90 fender measures in at approximately 29 3/4". Check out our

1991-1993 Fox Body Front Fender
The 91-93 front fender can be seen in the image below featuring the slightly larger wheel well opening that has a suttle slant shape to it. The slanted inner well opening is a sure sign to differentiate the later model fender. While the fenders themselves are interchangeable throughout the 79-93 years, be mindful of the
