In this one, we dyno a 1979 Fox Body Mustang Cobra. This 5.0L V8 was only rated at anemic 140 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. By today's standards, that's downright terrible! However, it was right on par for the late 70's. Spoiler alert, this is the lowest powered V8 that we've ever dyno'd.

  • Factory Single Exhaust w/ Weld-in Muffler
  • C3 Transmission (3rd gear is 1:1, but the car was pulled in 2nd to prevent downshift)
  • Steel Driveshaft
  • 7.5" Rear End w/ 2.47 Rear Gear
  • 16" 5.0 Resto TRX Style Wheels w/ 225/50/16 Tire
