Installation Instructions

Step 1: Remove Old Defrost Vent Register If Equipped

  • Grab the middle section of the vent near the driver's side of the car and rotate the piece towards you. This will disengage the clip.
  • Work your way across the vent register to release the other (2) clips from the center and passenger side.

Step 2: Install New Defrost Vent Register

  • Start in the center and align the locating dowell and seat the clip.
  • Work down either side or both at the same time and align those small tabs with the openings in the dash.
  • Engage the driver and passenger side clips.
  • After that, you are good to go.

Designed and manufactured with an OEM fit and finish in mind, this 5.0 Resto defrost vent register is the perfect solution to restore your interior. Each vent register is built to the factory dimensions with durable plastic material using an injection molding process. Factory-style grain and texture are applied to closely match the rest of your interior. 5.0 Resto's Fox Body defrost vent arrives in a black finish but can be prepped and painted to match other interior colors. Each vent has retaining clips and a rubber bumper preinstalled, making it a snap to install into your dashboard. These pre-assembled retaining clips are made from a durable steel construction with a clear zinc coating to prevent corrosion. Lastly, a foam strip is pre-installed on the vent to ensure air is directed to the vent to cut down on vibrations and rattles.
